If you are shopping for a new home, Lakeland Village offers housing with a wide range of prices, styles and densities, from conventional neighborhoods priced from the $170s, to custom home designs priced from the high $600s to more than $1 million, as well as a traditional neighborhood development whose first phase opened in 2010.
Bridgeland’s prestigious team of 13 home builders are now building in several communities within Lakeland Village. This team of builders offers completed new homes ready for immediate move-in or can meet with you to explore building the home of your dreams. The current list of communities to choose from includes The Shores, First Bend, The Cove, Water Haven and Lakeland Heights.
The Shores in Lakeland Village is the first community of new homes to be offered in this nature-based development and is located approximately two miles west of Bridgeland's main entry on North Bridgeland Lake Parkway. A beautiful four-acre park overlooking Cypress Lake flanks the entry points to The Shores and serves as the focal point for this initial community of homes.
The Shores in Lakeland Village encompasses approximately 200 acres and just under 600 homesites in 10 separate neighborhoods. Surrounded by more than 100 acres of lakes and featuring the first of what will be many distinctive bridges, parks and trails, The Shores has been thoughtfully designed to maximize views of water and nature to provide a tranquil setting for the community’s first residents.
Homesites in The Shores are indicative of the thoughtful planning that is going into every aspect of the Bridgeland community. Ranging in size from 50 feet to more than 80 feet in width, these initial homesites are enhanced by attention to detail such as:
Home prices in The Shores currently range from the $170s to more than $500,000.

First Bend in Lakeland Village is the second community of new homes to be developed in this nature-based development and is located approximately 1.5 miles west of Bridgeland's main entry on North Bridgeland Lake Parkway. First Bend includes custom homes in the exclusive neighborhood, The Reserve. Visit the custom home office just inside First Bend for more detailed information on custom builders and available homesites.
First Bend in Lakeland Village comprises 402 homesites in six separate neighborhoods. Surrounded by more than 60 acres of lakes and featuring distinctive bridges, parks and trails, First Bend has been designed to maximize views of water and nature to provide a tranquil setting for the community’s residents. Always sensitive to the environment, Bridgeland has preserved 14 special live oak trees in First Bend that are estimated to be more than 50 years old. Every effort has been made to save these pillars of the prairie.
First Bend is also home to Turtle Lane, a unique amenity focused on — you guessed it — turtles. With educational information and fun sculptures to climb, this unique feature will delight everyone who visits. At the end of Turtle Lane, a special garden of native plants and flowers has been planted to attract butterflies. Butterfly Garden, as it is called, offers educational signage to learn about these fascinating creatures.
Houston’s most respected home builders have been carefully selected to offer the discerning buyer a diverse collection of new home designs in First Bend. Homes range from the $170s to more than $1 million.
This top team of builders includes:

Located just west of The Shores along North Bridgeland Lake Parkway, The Cove features even more selections for residents, as well as a model home park with 13 decorated models to tour. The Cove overlooks majestic Cypress Lake, home to many species of water fowl, and also features additional smaller lakes to maximize water views for homesites.
In addition to several traditional parks and playgrounds, The Cove features areas that are unique within Bridgeland’s master plan. A central park area offers one of several open play fields, a playground with equipment for tots and older children and a rain garden with butterfly houses. Bordering the park is an extension of the House-Hahl Trail, with several reforestation-planting beds to enhance the area’s landscape. An aromatic garden alongside one of the lakes provides a fragrant respite, with pleasing plantings such as confederate jasmine, upright rosemary and Mexican bush sage. A formal rose garden appeals to the senses, while the lakeside maze garden adds a bit of fun.
Residents also will be pleased to know an elementary school site is located in The Cove and is estimated to open in 2013.
Builder team for The Cove:

Lakeland Heights is a walkable Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) where Main Street-style housing blends with shops, parks, restaurants and services, all following guidelines meticulously detailed in a pattern book by architectural powerhouse Looney Ricks Kiss that provides a comprehensive picture of how the TND will look and function.
Lakeland Heights is a place where friendships will begin at the sidewalk café or along the scenic waterway trail and continue on the front porch. The land planners extensively researched traditional Houston neighborhoods, including West University Place, The Heights, Southampton and Southside Place, for architectural inspiration. Planned for 350 homes, Lakeland Heights incorporates Craftsman, English Tudor, Classical and French housing styles found in those neighborhoods to heighten curb appeal and will look as though they have evolved over time. Multiple design options are now being built by David Weekley Homes.
Water Haven is Bridgeland's newest community of conventional homes, offering homes priced from the $220s by a team of five home builders. The village comprises nine neighborhoods, four of which are now open and selling homes in a variety of sizes and price points.
The two newest sections are now selling and will begin construction by the end summer 2011. Builders for Brook Haven are Trendmaker Homes and Partners in Building, which offer 47 80-foot homesites. Builders for Point Haven are Perry Homes and Village Builders, which offer 44 70-foot homesites.
Water Haven will have neighborhood parks and an extension of the House-Hahl Trail in these new sections. Pine Haven will contain a rustic pedestrian bridge to allow for circulation between Water Haven and the neighboring community of The Cove. Brook Haven also will have a pedestrian bridge as well as a three-acre park with playground equipment, benches and picnic tables and is surrounded by open space. Additional neighborhoods will open as development progresses in Water Haven.

Bridgeland currently offers designs by 13 of Houston's leading new home builders with completed new homes ready for immediate occupancy. The villages are built within a true master-planned community that offers a diverse selection of up to 21,000 homes for future residents. Each village offers a wide range of housing prices, styles and densities, from conventional neighborhoods in price points from the $170s to custom home designs in excess of $1 million.

The heart of Bridgeland will offer a destination for world-class shopping, dining, commerce, urban living, entertainment and employment. Located along the future path of the Grand Parkway and Central Creek Corridor, Bridgeland Town Center will be a thriving downtown environment encompassing more than 800 acres. Check back often to see this exciting project develop.

Located along the eastern boundary of the Katy Prairie and traversed by a portion of the Cypress Creek riparian corridor, Bridgeland is a mixed-use community that respects its natural setting. In recent history, the community's site was intensively managed and altered from its natural state for agricultural activities.
Over the next few decades, Bridgeland will transition from those intensive agricultural uses to a community that conserves, enhances and/or creates diverse habitats and open space networks to define and connect the community in a unified manner.
This is an environment where both people and nature can thrive — an environment that encourages strong bonds of community, career and family life.
